If you’re looking for gentle, engaging ways to explore letters and numbers this fall — especially with a nocturnal animal or not-so-scary Halloween theme — I’ve got a few playful resources you might love.
In my classroom, I’ve found that learning sticks best when it’s hands-on, sensory-safe, and just a little bit magical. That’s why I created these printables: to make letter and number recognition feel like a cozy adventure, not a worksheet chore.
🦇 Alphabet Bats
These upside-down bats are holding upper- and lowercase letters, ready to help kids match, sort, and explore the alphabet. You can use them for:
- Memory match games
- Letter hunts (my favorite: hide one set around the room and give each child a bat to find its match)
They’re easy to prep — just print, cut, and play — and flexible enough to use with small groups, centers, or independent exploration.
